7.1 Point of Entry Screenings and Their Importance
The goal of screening is to prevent transmittable diseases from spreading. This is done by finding sick or exposed travelers moving cross-country or overseas and stopping them from leaving or analyzing them upon entry, and guiding them to appropriate care and follow-up, as required.
