Training Requirements
A comprehensive orientation and training program including dementia care is needed for all carers. This will cover dementia kinds, symptoms, causes, stages, behavioral symptoms, non-pharmacological therapy, pharmaceutical use, palliative care, duties of carers, and the use of technology in the caregiving process. Carers can finish this training by reviewing the Presbyterian Homes training packet that is provided, or they can attend the provider’s scheduled sessions.
